Nepal

Nepal is a beautiful Himalayan nation located between India and China, covering an area of about 147,516 square kilometers. The country has a population of nearly 31 million people. Kathmandu is the capital city, and the nation is known for Mount Everest, rich culture, and deep spiritual traditions. Nepal is currently led by Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli.

Religion plays a major role in the lives of the Nepalese people. Around 81% of the population follows Hinduism, about 9% are Buddhists, nearly 5% are Muslims, around 1.5% are Christians, and the remaining people follow Kirat, indigenous beliefs, and other religions. Though Christianity is growing, believers are still a small minority and often face social pressure and challenges in sharing the Gospel.

Nepal’s economy mainly depends on agriculture, tourism, remittances from workers abroad, and small industries. Many people in rural mountain areas still struggle with poverty, unemployment, lack of education, and limited healthcare access. Natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods also affect many communities.
