The Sharon Women’s Fellowship (Vanitha Samajam) is the women’s organization of the Sharon Fellowship Church. It was founded in 1960 in Thiruvalla, Kerala, when four sisters gathered for prayer at the home of Mrs. Aleyamma Thomas. What began as a small prayer fellowship has, by the grace of God, grown into a vibrant ministry that has significantly contributed to the spiritual growth and evangelistic mission of the Church.

From 1970 onward, the Women’s Fellowship expanded its ministry by actively participating in evangelistic outreach. Sisters visited homes, public places, and communities in different regions to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They distributed Bibles, Gospel tracts, and Christian literature with great dedication. Through these faithful efforts, many individuals and families came to know the Lord, and several local congregations firmly established on biblical doctrine were planted in those areas.

Following the homegoing of Mrs. Aleyamma Thomas, the ministry continued to flourish under the leadership of Mrs. Aleyamma Koshy from 2001. Since 2023, the Women’s Fellowship has been led by Mrs. Susan Thomas, continuing its commitment to prayer, evangelism, discipleship, and Christian service.

On December 6, 2025, the Sharon Fellowship Church Council officially approved the Constitution of the Sharon Women’s Fellowship. In accordance with the Constitution, a 17-member Executive Committee and a 102-member General Committee were elected, representing the 18 regions of Kerala, various states across India, and several international fields where the Sharon Fellowship Church ministers.

The current office bearers are:

• General Secretary: Mrs. Suja Ninan
• General Treasurer: Mrs. Mariyamma Joy

Today, the Sharon Women’s Fellowship continues to uphold its founding vision through prayer, evangelism, discipleship, and compassionate service. Alongside proclaiming the Gospel, it engages in numerous charitable ministries, including support for widows, medical assistance, marriage assistance, and other humanitarian initiatives. Through its united ministry and prayer, the Fellowship seeks to glorify God and extend His love and grace to people around the world.
