Gujarat is one of the most economically developed and industrially advanced states in western India. It was formed on 1 May 1960 and is known for its strong business culture, ports, industries, historical heritage, and vibrant traditions. The capital city is Gandhinagar, while Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, and Vadodara are major urban centers.
