Tripura is one of the eight states of Northeast India and shares a long international border with Bangladesh on three sides, while it is connected to the rest of India through Assam and Mizoram. The state capital is Agartala, which serves as the political, cultural, and economic center of the state. Tripura is known for its rich tribal heritage, lush green hills, forests, bamboo resources, and cultural diversity.

• Area: Approximately 10,491 square kilometers, making it the third smallest state in India by area.
• Estimated Population: Around 4.2 million (42 lakh) in 2025–2026, with steady growth from the 2011 Census population of 3.67 million.

Economic Status

In recent years, Tripura has experienced growth in sectors such as information technology, natural gas, tourism, handicrafts, and small-scale industries.
